Approximately 66,000 pupils attend school in Amsterdam and Diemen. There are about 220 regular primary schools in total, under 38 different school boards. So there is quite a lot to choose from! Every school has organised the support to pupils differently. How is it done? And how much money is available for this? To a large extent this is decided by the school board. Let us explain.

Extra support in primary school

At a regular primary school there are possibilities to offer a pupil extra support if he or she needs it. School can support a pupil from funds available  for basic-  and extra support.
